You can't sit around waiting for Mr/Miss Right to come to you so these sorts of people decide to take control of their own destiny. All different types of professions. Everything from doctors and lawyers to scuba instructors and professional athletes! Thats the best thing about Speed Dating, you just don't know what sort of interesting people you will actually meet!

I am a bit nervous about going by myself....
Completely understandable and you won't be the only one feeling this way. I would say about two-thirds of all guys and one-third of all girls come by themselves. Our two friendly hosts understand how you feel and quickly introduce you to all the other people who have come solo. I have personally spoken to hundreds of nervous people before and after each event and they all tell me the worse thing about going Speed Dating is actually thinking about it. They think of all the negative and worse case scenarios. Once there and into the Speed Dating, the time seems to fly by and as the night comes to a close they wonder why they were ever worried for in the first place! Sometimes you just have to put yourself out there, after all what have you really got to lose?

Are there always equal numbers of men and women?
Brisbane Speed Date prides itself on having even numbers. Alot of time and effort goes into preparing an event, trying to juggle people wanting to come and people pulling out at the last minute. If you cannot make it to an event PLEASE PLEASE let us know out of courtesy to all guests attending.

When will I receive my matches?
We send out all results within 24 hours of the event finishing.

What types of payment do you accept?
We accept credit card or direct deposit. To secure even numbers payment CANNOT be accepted in cash on the night

What should I wear?
The dress standard at our events is quite high. All girls come nicely presented. Guys, singlet, shorts and thongs isn't going to cut it. Dress to impress remember first impressions count. Nice pair of pants, a collared shirt and clean dress shoes would be the best option next to a suit.
